How to access the Quick Actions menu

To open the Quick Actions menu, click the three dots (⋮) in the bottom right corner of the Doc thumbnail.

Quick Actions Menu

Edit

You can edit your Foleon Doc at any time, whether published or not. The easiest way to access the editor is by double-clicking the Doc thumbnail, which will redirect you to the editor.

Preview

The Preview option allows you to view your Foleon Doc outside the editor, helping you see how it will appear to your audience before publishing or republishing changes.

Depending on the size of your content, the preview may take a few moments to load. This is completely normal and does not reflect the loading speed of your live Doc. Live Docs will load much faster.

You can control who can access the preview link in your Doc Settings:

  • Private preview: Only users who are logged into Foleon and belong to the relevant workspace can access the preview link.
  • Public preview: Anyone with the preview link can access the Doc, even if they don’t have a Foleon account.

💡 The preview of your Foleon Doc can't be found through search engines and is only accessible via the URL.

See live version

Click on this button to view the live, published version of your Foleon Doc. You can also access the live version by clicking "Republish" in the editor.

Personalization

With our personalization features, you can make every reader interaction unique and authentic. Click on this button to quickly generate a personalized URL. Learn more about our personalization suite in this article: Personalization in Foleon: an overview

Duplicate

To create a copy of an existing Foleon Doc, click duplicate. A new window will open where you can name your new Doc and assign it to the right workspace or project.

Duplicate Doc

When you duplicate a Doc, the copy won't necessarily inherit the exact Doc settings and page settings. The intended behavior in these settings depends on whether you are duplicating the Doc to an empty project or a project with existing Docs. In the table below, you will find the different actions and their corresponding results:

Action

Result

Create a new Foleon Doc in a new project.

The duplicate will inherit the Global Doc Settings. We recommend updating the Doc Settings if needed.

Duplicate a Foleon Doc to a new empty project.

The duplicate will inherit the Doc Settings of the original Foleon Doc.

Duplicate a Foleon Doc to a project with existing docs.

The duplicate will inherit the Global Doc Settings. We recommend updating the Doc Settings if needed.

Create a new Foleon Doc in a project with existing docs.

The duplicate will inherit the Doc Settings of the last created Foleon Doc in the project.

Move

You can move a Foleon Doc to a different project by clicking Move and selecting the desired project from the drop-down menu.

⚠️ Your Doc needs to be unpublished to move it to a different project, as this changes the URL.

Unpublish

Unpublishing takes your Foleon Doc offline. The Doc will no longer be accessible via its URL.

⚠️ If you want to delete a published Foleon Doc, you need to unpublish it first to take it offline. If you don't, it will remain online on its URL.

If someone tries to visit the URL of an unpublished Doc, they will:

  • Redirected to the primary Doc, if set.
  • Redirected to the most recently published Doc.
  • Shown a 404 page if no other Docs are live in the project.

Set as primary

With the 'Set as primary'  option, you can choose which Foleon Doc appears by default when someone visits your project's root URL or tries to visit a Doc that has been taken offline. Learn more in our article Set a primary Foleon Doc for your project.

Settings

This option takes you to the Settings page of your Doc. From here, you can change the name of your Doc, adjust the Content type, and view details, such as when the Doc was created and last edited.

Foleon Analytics

Foleon has built-in reporting that gives you easy access to the most important metrics about your Foleon Doc. With the Analytics functionality, you can access the report for each Doc. Read more in our article: How to access Foleon Analytics.

💡 You will only see Foleon Analytics in menu for published Foleon Docs.

Download

There are three options under Download: Convert to PDF, Compress to ZIP, and Download form results.

Convert to PDF

We offer the option to convert your content to a PDF. Keep in mind that Foleon Docs are designed for the web. Generating a static PDF from a responsive design will cause inevitable variations in layout and formatting. Learn more in our article: How to convert your Foleon Doc to PDF.

Compress to ZIP

Depending on your plan, you can compress your Foleon Doc to a ZIP file, and upload it on your own web server. Learn about what a ZIP file contains, and how to upload it, in our article Hosting Foleon Docs on your own server.

Download form results

Depending on your plan, Foleon offers different ways to gather information about your visitors via forms. The information you’ve acquired can be downloaded as a CSV here. You can also set up an email notification for each form submission in the editor. Learn all about forms in our article: All about forms.

⚠️ If there are no forms or form submissions, no email will be sent.

Alternatively, you can automatically process and transfer form submissions from Foleon to 1,000+ other apps through our Zapier integration. You can find more information about our Zapier integration in this article: Connecting Foleon to Zapier.

Review

Review Mode lets your team leave comments on a Foleon Doc, making collaboration easier and helping you process feedback faster. Learn more in our article: Collect actionable feedback in Review Mode.

Save as Doc template

This option allows you to save your Doc as a template. By saving your Doc as a template, you empower your team to create on-brand content with just a few clicks. You can read more about Doc templates in our article: Save your Doc as a template.

Delete

When you delete a Foleon Doc, it is permanently removed from your project. It will no longer be accessible in the editor, and the URL will no longer work. All associated form submissions and reporting metrics will also be deleted and cannot be recovered.

💡 We recommend downloading your latest form submissions and reporting data before deleting a Doc to avoid losing important information.

⚠️ If you want to delete a published Foleon Doc, you need to unpublish it first to take it offline. If you don't, it will remain online on its URL.
