Create a new Foleon Doc

From the Foleon dashboard, you can create a new Doc in three ways:

  1. Use the “+ Start new Foleon Doc” button
This is the quickest way to start a new Doc. When creating your new Doc, you'll be asked whether you'd like to begin from scratch or start with a template.

💡 You can also start a new Foleon Doc from a specific Project or via the Docs page.

Name your Foleon Doc

Give your Doc a name. This name will be displayed in the dashboard, in the browser, and on social media. You can always change this later.

💡 You'll be able to customize the URL of your Doc later by editing the Foleon Doc Alias in the Doc Settings.

Choose a content type

From the dropdown, select the content type that best describes your Doc — for example, an annual report or brochure.
This won’t affect which features are available, but helps you categorize Docs. This also helps us better understand what type of content our customers are creating!

Link your Foleon Doc to a project

Every Foleon Doc must be linked to a project. Select an existing project from the dropdown.

If you created your Doc directly from your project, this field will already be pre-filled. You can always move your Doc to a different project later.

Start from scratch or a template

You can start your Doc from scratch, from one of your Doc templates, or from a Foleon template.

💡 Starting with a template saves time and ensures design consistency.

If you are starting from a Doc or Foleon template, choose one of the templates in the dropdown. Use the eye icon to preview templates before selecting.

Start from Template

Apply a Brand Kit

Choose a Brand Kit to apply to your Doc. This ensures your fonts, colors, logos, and spacing match brand standards right from the start.

If a Default Brand Kit has been assigned to your workspace, this will be automatically applied.
